We are fully insured, our staff are DBS checked and qualified to teach/train students,  and we have appropriate safeguarding training.

Our approach to learning

At Wyre Horseways, we understand that every learner is unique. Our education programmes are specially tailored for 16+ young people who's needs are not being met by mainstream education those with SEN, anxiety, and who struggle socially or with their mental health. We provide a peaceful and professional setting where students can grow at their own pace. 

Those with an EHCP have funding options via local government.

Personalised learning

Our programmes are individually tailored to each student, ensuring that their specific needs and learning styles are met. We focus on building confidence, having fun and fostering a love for learning.

Small group focus

Learning in small groups allows for more focused attention from our experienced tutors and creates a supportive, comfortable environment for all participants.

Hands-on activities

We provide practical, hands-on activities that develop a sense of achievement and purpose, helping students to re-engage with learning and build essential skills.

Gaining recognised qualifications

Our educational programmes are designed to help students achieve recognised qualifications while developing vital life skills in a supportive, outdoor environment. We believe in learning by doing, providing pathways to success.

Qualifications will be provided by an external training provider  - City and Guilds Horse Care and Animal Care or equivalent

Animal and Horse care

We offer specialised qualifications in animal care and horse care, providing practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for working with animals. These courses build confidence and responsibility.

Functional skills and lifeskills

Alongside equine-based learning, we support students in developing functional skills in maths and English, as well as crucial lifeskills. Our goal is to equip them for future success and independence.
